Top Summer Events in Breckenridge

Summer in Breckenridge is simply spectacular! In addition to the hiking and biking, rafting and horseback riding, Breckenridge has several exciting summer events. Holiday celebrations, excellent live music, delicious dishes, and refreshing spirits all served up in a picturesque, historic mountain town.

July 4, 2024
Summer in Breckenridge kicks off with with the annual Independence Day Celebration. Although fire restrictions ban the setting off of public or private fireworks in Breck, the town makes up for it with plenty of other festivities. The day starts with a 10K fun run. Then new this year, the Strider Bike Race for kids ages 1-6 kicks off the Firecracker 50 and Main Street parade. Then the National Repertory Orchestra (NRO) tops off the day with a Fourth of July Spectacular.

Breckenridge Food and Wine Festival
July 26-28, 2024
The event next up on the summer events lineup is the Breckenridge Food and Wine Festival. Over the course of 3 days, attendees will enjoy great food, live music, and picture-perfect mountain views while tasting from a selection of 300 fabulous wines.

Main Street Station Plaza and The Village at Breckenridge transform into a stunning mountain-side vineyard during the festival weekend. Tickets can sell out fast!



Breckenridge International Festival of Arts
August 16-25, 2024

Breckenridge International Festival of Arts, or BIFA for short, is a celebration of adventure, creativity, nature and play. Local, national and international artists create an eclectic mix of music, dance, film, visual arts and family entertainment rooted in mountain culture and the natural environment. Throughout the festival, Breck Create produces dozens of events in the cultural venues, public parks, trails and open spaces of Breckenridge.


Breckenridge Hogfest: Bacon and Bourbon
August 30-September 1, 2024

Some would argue that bacon is the most loved food in the universe and the route to all things swine and divine. Add in the quintessential American liquor, bourbon, and you've got a hogfest! Meat connoisseurs will taste their way through a spectrum of pork samples, premium whiskeys, single malt scotches and barrel-aged spirits while enjoying live music and mixology below Peak Nine.
