Cruising the Corduroy in Vail and Beaver Creek

The legendary Back Bowls in Vail and steep Birds of Prey slopes in Beaver Creek may take all the glory, but when all you want are long stretches of smooth corduroy, there are plenty of cruisers to excite everyone in your group.

Here are our go-to groomers:

Vail
Northwoods

This is one of our top five list of Vail ski runs. It’s groomed, steep, curvy and you’ll want to rip down it over and over.

Riva Ridge

You can cruise for four miles straight on Riva Ridge from top to bottom. It takes two lifts (Chair 6 to Chair 11) to get to the top but it’s totally worth it.

Hunky Dory

Short, fun and if you’re waiting for someone near mid-mountain, Hunky Dory laps are a blast.

Simba

Take the Pride Express to the top of Lionshead and you can fly down Simba and Pride to the Lionshead base.

Beaver creek
Cresta

A top to bottom blue, Cresta starts at the ‘crest’ of Arrowhead and swoops all the way down to the base.

Centennial

Perhaps the most iconic and longest run at Beaver Creek. Even when it’s groomed, you’ll feel your legs after 2.75 miles top to bottom.

President Ford's

Taking this trail named by our 38th president winds you past his former house in Strawberry Park.

Complimentary shuttles will get you to the slopes from your luxury vacation rental home in no time. For even faster access, here are some Moving Mountains residences that are slopeside or within walking distance in Vail and Beaver Creek.
