Best Breakfast in Steamboat Springs

A hearty breakfast will set you up for success before your day of mountain adventures! Here's where our staff fuels up before heading out to the slopes or trails.

Yampa Valley Kitchen

Robin Craigen, Co-Founder | CEO

You'll want to linger over breakfast or brunch at the Yampa Valley Kitchen. The restaurant sources the highest quality local, organic, or sustainable foods and serves up their gourmet meals in the outdoor flower-filled courtyard in summer or the light-filled dining room inside where you'll feel you're in a beautiful home. Be sure to try Robin's favorite, the Lemon Crepe.

Winona's

Vanessa Beasley, Guest Services Manager

Vanessa can't resist the breakfast skillets and giant cinnamon rolls at this homey cafe and bakery. Winona's is a longtime Steamboat breakfast favorite known for their homemade baked goods.

E3 Chophouse

Hannah Hockel, Operations Coordinator | Front Desk Specialist

The best weekend brunch in town according to Hannah! The patio along the Yampa River is picturesque all summer long. Then move indoors for a cozy brunch around a blazing fireplace in winter. Fuel up on Shrimp & Grits, Chicken & Waffles, or an E3 Burger.

Cruiser's

Heather Craigen, Co-Founder | VP

Eat in or grab a breakfast sandwich to go on the way to the slopes or the trailhead. The locally-owned sub shop is also known for its Acai Bowls (one of Heather's go-to healthy breakfasts.)

The Shack Cafe

Robin Craigen, Co-Founder | CEO

Steamboat Springs is steeped in tradition and no place has stood the test of time better than The Shack Café which has been serving breakfast since 1969 in the heart of Old Town Steamboat. Dig into a plateful of biscuits & gravy, Huevos Rancheros (Robin's favorite) or the Hobo Special.

Creekside Cafe & Grill

Suzanne Hendry, Guest Services Specialist

Creekside has been the gold standard for breakfast in Steamboat for over 20 years. Located next to Soda Creek, the cafe is a quiet reprieve from the hustle and bustle of Steamboat’s main street. Try the legendary Eggs Benedict menu or dig into the infamous Wafflelaughagus or The O.G. breakfast burrito.
