Description

Welcome to Wandering Moose, an upscale escape that combines mountain elegance and modern design situated in a private neighborhood on Breck’s Peak 10. At the end of an exhilarating day of mountain adventure, return to this lavish 5,500 square foot ski home designed for entertaining and offering the highest level of comfort.

Upon arrival through the front door, guests will be immediately drawn into the open concept main level which combines the great room, dining area, and gourmet kitchen. This wide-open layout flows nicely onto the large deck that is situated adjacent to the great room through oversized sliding glass doors, inviting outdoor entertaining.

With its vaulted ceilings, exposed wood beams, and large windows offering an abundance of natural light and views of the surrounding mountains, the great room will be a popular place to relax beside the gas fireplace or enjoy a good movie curled up on the leather sofa. A conversation area with two more chairs and a side table offers the perfect space to get lost in a good book – or enjoy a glass of wine with your significant other while the snow falls in the background.

The dining area sits on the opposite side of the great room and features a large dining table that comfortably seats 12 in chair and bench combination seating; additional seating is available at the kitchen island. The gorgeous kitchen is outfitted with professional-grade appliances, expansive granite countertops, two sinks, and two dishwashers.

Just beyond the kitchen is a convenient mudroom with ample space to store your warm winter clothing and ski gear - as well as a clothes dryer that will resolve any wet clothing issues in a breeze. From the mudroom, you will have access to the 2-car garage. A powder bath is also situated on the main level.

Two spacious suites occupy the upper level, each featuring a king bed, TV, and luxurious ensuite with a soaking tub. A loft area with a desk and sleeper sofa offers additional sleeping or a quiet space to tend to any work while on vacation.

The lower level is host to the three remaining bedrooms including two fun bunk rooms with a shared bath, a spacious king bedroom suite, and the media room. Enjoy watching the latest movies or your favorite sports teams on the huge projection screen or try out the four-player upright arcade game with over 100 games for additional entertainment. Easily access the private outdoor hot tub and lower-level patio through the sliding glass doors.

Guests have use of the washer and dryer and a two-bay heated garage with parking for 4 cars total.

Regretfully, weddings and events are not permitted in Moving Mountains homes.

ABOUT THE AREA
Ideally located on Peak 10, Wandering Moose offers easy access to all things Breckenridge. In the Winter months, experienced skiers and riders can walk approximately 9 minutes to access the Burro Trail which will connect you to Peak 9 or 10. The Burro Trail is also a great option for cross country skiing or snowshoeing in the winter – and hiking in the summer.

A free skier shuttle is located 3 doors down from Wandering Moose, less than 100 yards, and will whisk skiers and riders to the slopes in minutes: available mid-December through April.

Easily access Breck’s Main Street, located less than 2 miles from Wandering Moose, and enjoy the wonderful dining and shopping.

SHUTTLE
This home enjoys complimentary use of the Moving Mountains shuttle, mid-November through mid-April, using the convenient shuttle app to schedule pickups. The use of the shuttle is on a first-come, first-served basis.

GUEST SERVICES
Moving Mountains has a Guest Services Team, offering full-service vacation planning assistance prior to your trip. You will be assigned a dedicated specialist who will guide you through all the activities and services available. You will also have access to our online Guest Portal where you can find extensive details about your reservation, your residence and guest services.

IN HOME AMENITIES
All Moving Mountains properties have WIFI and come fully stocked with paper products (paper towels, toilet paper, tissues), bathroom toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand soap), and detergents (dish, dishwasher, and laundry) as well as clean bed linens and towels. In addition, the kitchens are stocked with aluminum foil, plastic wrap, trash bags, sponges, soap, salt and pepper, coffee, tea, Nespresso, cookware, bakeware, dishes, glasses, utensils, and standard small appliances.

This home does not have air conditioning. Colorado's cool summer nights will keep this home comfortable by opening windows after the sun goes down, and then closing the windows and blinds during the day. Utilizing the overhead fans, if available, keeps airflow moving, and additional floor fans can be found in many bedroom closets. Can't live without it? A/C units may be available for rent for an additional fee.

We had a wonderful stay at Wandering Moose, which felt like true luxury from the fully stocked kitchen, pristine setting, thoughtful finishes, and excellent service from Moving Mountains. We stayed 4 nights for our first spring ski trip. This home and the beautiful mountain escape town of Breckenridge did not disappoint!

This is a perfect place for our family of 9 adults and 1 teenager to make our family vacation a warm memory. The home has a panoramic view of the mountains plus wildflowers and a fox which visits. We enjoyed the management’s gifts. The home is spacious. We enjoy cooking; the kitchen had everything thing we could need and more. The large dining table was great for eating and for playing games. The hot tub was used often - but not any of the large tvs that were available.

Paragon Lodging by Moving Mountains has a great check-in process and are extremely responsive with any questions or issues we've had. We stayed at Wandering Moose, which is a beautiful property, and had no issues. We are looking forward to staying at other Paragon by Moving Mountains homes. This one was pet friendly, a great location with shuttle access.

We had a great time at “Wondering Moose”. The home is beautiful, clean and very comfortable. There are three rooms with king beds and private baths plus two more bedrooms which makes it perfect for three families. The kitchen is fully stocked and upgraded. We had fun playing arcade games and bubble hockey. The projector Tv was perfect for watching movies at night. The location is also great, the shuttle stop is one door away and it took us to base 9. Can’t beat the skiing in Breck, we got 8 inches of powder over the week we stayed. Keep an eye out for fox and moose. We will definitely be back!

Wandering Moose is a high-quality, beautiful Breckenridge home at the end of the road. It's a great home with plenty of room for you and your guests to spread out in. The large covered deck is a great feature. Highly recommend.

We (8 adults and 2 kids) stayed at the house for our daughter's 1st birthday. There was plenty of space for everyone to not feel cramped. The kids loved the bunk beds and games in the basement. The kitchen/dining area is great for meals with everyone. Comfortable beds. Easy check-in and check-out. Great communication with the Property Management Company. Easy drive to Main St. We enjoyed our stay very much and would definitely stay again.

We had 5 couples, two teenagers and our dog. Wandering Moose was the perfect house. We all had plenty of space and always had hot water. The decor and finishes were beautiful. The bed was probably the most comfortable I’ve ever slept in. The downstairs living area had fun games and the hot tub was a huge bonus. Just note that the house is not a secluded getaway being close to neighbors in a fairly dense neighborhood. With that however, you have a very short drive or bike ride to downtown Breck. Paragon was also great and attentive. It was a spectacular stay!

My wife, dog, both our parents and siblings enjoyed a fantastic 2 week stay in Breckenridge. Wandering Moose was a perfect mountain getaway. We loved everything about the house. It had a nice balance of privacy, yet immediate access to everything we wanted to do on our vacation. Paragon was efficient, communicative and also gave us access to a variety of easy to use Concierage services during our stay.

We were one of the first visitors to this new location, and we were thrilled to do so. The home is beautiful, a wonderful and convenient location for skiing (access through the national forest to Lower Lehman or back home via Cimarron) with access to the Peak 1 Express shuttle. The home is recently remodeled with high end appliances and comforts. Paragon Lodging was incredibly helpful with any questions we had. We loved it so much we re-booked for spring break. You will not be disappointed with the home or location.
