Description

Welcome to Base Camp II, located steps from the gondola stop in the prestigious Shock Hill Landing neighborhood. Walk across the road to the Mid Station Gondola for quick and easy access to Peaks 7 and 8 – or take the Gondola into town for lunch and an afternoon of shopping in historic downtown Breckenridge. This spectacular duplex boasts custom finishes throughout, chic yet sophisticated décor, and spectacular mountain views.

Step through the front door on the upper level to discover a spacious, open floor plan, seamlessly combining the kitchen, great room, and dining area under a vaulted ceiling. The well-appointed gourmet kitchen sits at the heart of the upper level and will be a popular place to gather. The chefs of the group will be delighted with its large island, BlueStar gas range with a double oven, a wine cooler, and expansive countertops.

Dinners will be enjoyed in the adjacent dining area with seating for 6 at the table beside floor-to-ceiling windows. The deck just off the dining area offers a space to relax, take in the mountain views or use the gas grill.

Retire to the great room after dinner and enjoy a new movie on the large flat-screen TV or relax beside the gas fireplace and enjoy family time.

The modern and tastefully decorated primary king suite on the upper level features a private balcony, gas fireplace, TV, and a beautiful ensuite complete with dual vanity, jetted tub, and steam shower. A powder bath and laundry room complete the upper level.

On the lower level, you’ll find a cozy den with a sofa, TV, and a nearby wet bar. Head outside to the patio where you’ll find the hot tub and gas fire pit. Watch the star-filled sky while taking a relaxing soak in the hot tub – or catch up with a friend beside the warm fire. Three bedrooms with private baths are also on the lower level, a king suite, a queen suite, and a fun bunkroom that sleeps 4.

Ideally located, Base Camp II offers easy access to the slopes and all things Breckenridge. Whether you’re visiting Breckenridge to pack in the adventures or just relax and enjoy the views, Base Camp II is the ultimate Breck “Base Camp” for your next mountain escape.

We really enjoyed the home and it’s about as close to the gondola as you can get. Makes it very easy to get up the mountain or to town

Highly recommended

Base Camp II was our chosen home for our annual ski trip this year. Great home - very cozy and plenty of room for our group of 8. Excellent location right next to the first gondola stop which made it very convenient for skiing. Was concerned a little about getting into town as we didn't have a rental vehicle but the shuttle service worked really well in the evenings and very easy to take the gondola down during the day. We had an excellent stay and the folks at Moving Mountains were easy to work with. Highly recommended.

We had a wonderful week at Base Camp in Breckenridge. Great house, great location. Paragon Lodging was super easy to work with, very friendly and always helpful. Would definitely go through them again on another trip to Breckenridge.

The property was beautiful. Easy check in. Wonderfully located next to the gondola stop - could go up to the slopes or down to town. Perfect for our family vacation!

Amazing home!

This property looked great online after scrolling through the photos, but when we got there, it was so much better! The management staff was top notch and helped us with many accommodations and great communication. When we walked into to garage (You can enter and exit through the huge 3 car garage by using the outside keypad. makes it easier than climbing the stairs to the front door, especially with gear) there was plenty of room for our vehicles and places to store our gear, snowboards and skis. As soon as you enter through the garage into the home, there is a huge mud room for all your ski/snowboard equipment, bags, jackets, cubbies and baskets for your stuff, a huge bench to sit and get ready and heated floors. Through that door is the place we hung out the most, a huge game room with pool table, ping pong table, foosball table, a couple couches, tv and a bar area. Also, in this room was a large bedroom with queen bed and bathroom. Upstairs is beautiful! A huge kitchen, 2 dining rooms (wasn't aware of second dining room) a full office to work if needed, giant living room with fireplace views of the mountain and runs on Peak 8 through all the many windows and natural light. all the floors are heated which was awesome! Access to the large Jacuzzi is on this floor. There were baskets by the door to the outside with plenty of towels which were heated by the floors. There is also a bathroom and the laundry room next to this door which makes it easy to change and also dry your stuff in the laundry room. The master bed room is also on this floor and is were I stayed. the room is huge with access to the jacuzzi as well. There is a large king bed and was the only disappointment I had during my whole stay. There is a fireplace in this room and 2 chairs to relax in front of the fire. Many windows with natural light and views of the mountain from a large window across from the bed. Inside the master is a hallway leading to the master bath. There is a enormous walk-in closet which is the size of a bedroom with plenty of storage. The bathroom has a large walk-in shower with plenty of hot water and a large 2 person Jacuzzi style tub. 2 separate vanities to get ready with plenty of room and separate room for the toilet. Nice big windows with great views and still plenty of privacy. Upstairs had 4 more bedrooms, 2 baths and library sitting area.

While not “ski out”, and only “ski in” once we found the secret (ask for a tour of the property when you arrive), the location and services were great if you want an upscale resort experience in Steamboat. Didn’t need to rent a car as their shuttles were always available. Staff was friendly and attentive and surprisingly cleaning services almost every day.

The whole process was easy and the management company is great to work with, promptly answering all my questions before our arrival. We had no problems during our stay and thoroughly enjoyed the house and it’s proximity to Breckenridge and Copper Mountain. The walk from the house to the bus stop is an easy one and makes it so convenient to get to Breckenridge on the free ride bus system if you don’t want to worry about parking.

Base lodge was an amazing stay for our family. The house is absolutely beautifully decorated with modern decor, spacious, well maintained, clean and with amazing views! We loved having access to the gondola just steps away. We will definitely book again at this home!
