    Main Level

Morning Star has a spacious Great Room floor plan. Cathedral ceilings, exposed log walls, and rustic furnishings blend naturally into the log cabin setting. Become mesmerized by the light of the 4-sided gas fireplace with slate sitting hearth and river rock chimney that soars through the center of the cabin. Lounge in the tweed L-shaped sofa, play a game of cards at the game table for four, gaze out the multitude of windows exposing the quiet forest, or succumb to the electronic necessities of TV/VCR/DVD and stereo with CD player. Just off the great room is a half bath.

The 4-sided fireplace separates the great room area from the Kitchen and Dining Room, while continuing the flow of this open level. A gourmet setup with all major appliances and Aga gas stove with 4 ovens, griddle and 4-burner stovetop. Custom pine, glass paned cabinets rise above the green and white tiled countertops. Truly a chef’s delight complete with modern amenities and casual cabin subtleties. The dining area is part of the kitchen, situated by the warmly inviting fireplace with dining table for 8. The adjacent bay window opens up the dining area and exposes more views of the forest.

(Sleeps 2) The center of the Burnt Pine Suite is the King log frame bed accented by a handcrafted chateau quilt reminiscent of the textiles found in France's Provence region. This spacious master suite is named for the pine needles burnt into the wood floor. The rugged log furnishings are softened by the colorful Oriental rug and comfy armchair and ottoman perfectly placed by lots of windows. Additional amenities include TV, large walk-in closet and quiet forest views. At the other end of the suite sits the master bath. Adorned with hues of pinky mauves and gold fixtures. A luxurious ambience complete with dual sinks, separate shower stall and deep Jacuzzi tub.

    Upper Level

(Sleeps 2) Up the tall exposed log staircase is the Loft, a fun entertainment room with foosball table, TV/VCR, and Sega Genesis. Veg-out on the overstuffed sofa or queen size futon couch and watch a movie or catch a catnap.

(Sleeps 4-6) The Lasso Bunk Room has 2 custom log captains bunks with twin on top and double bed on bottom. Vaulted ceilings, log walls, forest views, antique rustic pine furnishings, ensuite bath with shower and rugged details make this a perfectly Western room.

(Sleeps 2) The Angelic Room is truly a peaceful haven with Queen Bed, a balance of Victorian and mountain rustic furnishings and the most pleasant view of the greenery outside. Adjacent full bath with dual sinks and tub/shower.

Decks: A 200 square foot deck off the kitchen houses the hot tub and gas BBQ grill. An additional elongated back deck off the great room and, open covered front porch makes the most of the serene setting.

Location: Heading South on Main Street, Morningstar is only 1.3 miles from the hustle and bustle of downtown Breckenridge and 1.8 miles from the lifts or free skier parking lots.
