Breckenridge FREE Concert Series

With more white stuff on the way it doesn’t quite feel like Spring has arrived in Breckenridge – and we’re definitely okay with that! Despite it not looking like spring outside, that does’t stop us from celebrating the season! If anything, the Spring snow gives us MORE of a reason to celebrate.

The Annual Breckenridge Spring Fever Festival kicks off this weekend with the Peak 6 Big Mountain Competition tomorrow afternoon (March 22). The month-long celebration will continue through April 20th, with events running on a regular basis.

Breckenridge recently announced the FREE concert series lineup, which will include appearances by Big Bad Voodoo Daddy, The Gin Blossoms, Yonder Mountain String Band and Blues Traveler.

Big Bad Voodoo Daddy is a contemporary swing revival band from Southern California. They are currently on the road celebrating their 20th Anniversary and will be playing songs from their new album “Rattle Them Bones.” Some of their more notable songs include “Go Daddy-O” and “Mr. Pinstripe Suit.” Catch them LIVE in Breckenridge on Saturday, April 12th.

They entered the scene in 1987 and became popular very quickly with their hit song “Hey Jealousy.” Gin Blossoms will be playing in Breckenridge on Sunday, April 13th.

Yonder Mountain String Band is a bluegrass group from Nederland, Colorado. Composed of Dave Johnston, Jeff Austin, Ben Kaufmann, and Adam Aijala, the band has successfully “pioneered a sound of their own.” Although the group may look like a traditional bluegrass band with their instrument selection, they are far from it. See for yourself in Breck on Friday, April 18th!

Blues Traveler is a rock band from the East Coast whose music covers a wide variety of rock genres including blues rock, psychedelic rock, folk rock, southern rock and soul. Although the group is best known for their improvisational live shows, the general public will remember them for their top hits “Run-Around” and “Hook.”
